(a) To make efforts for the development of modern music in Nepal. (b) To study and conduct research on the evolution of modern Nepali music from its origin to the present. (c) To stay informed about trends and movements in modern music at the international level and disseminate that information to the public. (d) To formulate and implement appropriate plans to establish modern Nepali music in the international arena. (e) To organize seminars, workshops, trainings, and competitions necessary for the development of modern Nepali music. (f) To prepare and maintain a record/list of talents and institutions involved in modern Nepali music. (g) To build and expand connections, collaboration, and relationships at local, national, and international levels. (h) To collaborate with and encourage organizations and institutions involved in the development of modern Nepali music. (i) To preserve and archive important creations of modern Nepali music. (j) To recognize and honor talents and service-oriented organizations in this field, including national, international, and non-resident Nepali contributors. (k) To represent and facilitate participation in international-level activities related to this field. (l) To coordinate with other departments and work jointly wherever possible.
